 | Warning | Before water heater maintainance, please make sure power has already been cut off. Otherwise, varid levels of damage or even casualty may be caused. |
We suggest you to open drainage valve periodically until clean water flows out to prevent deposit happens at bottom of the tank. Please check temperature and pressure valve periodically to make sure they can function normally. Open and close the valve few times until the valve can move smoothly and swiftly. Caution: Please aware that the hot water flowing out from the valve could be very hot. Check heating elements periodically and remove fouls on the heating element once needed. Drainage valve should be open frequently to prevent deposits formed at bottom of the tank. 1、Turn off electric switch. 2、Connect drainage valve with soft pipe and connent the other end to floor drainage. Rotate hand wheel to the left side (anitclockwisely) to open the drainage valve until clean water flows out. If no water flows out, please follow deposits removal instructions to remove deposits. 3、Close drainage valve and remove soft pipe after cleaning. 4、Turn on electric switch.Remove sand particles from the water. As these particles will deposit at bottom of the tank and form a layer of deposit. If timely clean is not guaranteed, deposit may reach heating elements and cause failure. Thus, for convenience, please remove any deposits at bottom of the tank and on the heating elements. It is common that fouls formed on heating elements as it is a common problem shared by all dipped-in heating elements. Factors affecting formation of water fouls: 1、Water usage; with increasing hot water usage, more water fouls will form. 2、Water temperature; the hotter the water supplied, the more water fouls will be formed on heating elements. 3、Water quality; Heating elements should be checked whatever heating elements are checked or not. Fouls could lead to running noise. It is suggested to take one heating element out and run the check. If fouls are found on the checked heating element, the rest heating elements should also be taken out and done the cleaning. If deposits formed at the bottom of the tank, extra cleaning is needed. The following table lists potential faults and methods to tackle the problems. Users can diagnose the problem using this table. |
Phenomennon | Possible reason | Correction measure | No hot water | 1. no power.
2. fused
3. line connection not firmly
4. heating elements broken
5. thermostat broken | 1. Check fuse or circurt braker
2. Check fuses
3. Check all line connections
4. Check elements, replace if necessary
5. Check thermostat, replace if necessary | No enough hot water | 1. elements broken
2. thermostat setpoint is too low
3. thermostat broken
4. line connection not firmly
5. precipitate or scale on elements
6. too much water
7. electric power is too small
8. inlet water is too cold
9. pip is broken | 1. check elements, replace if necessary
2. Adjust thermostat setpoint higher 3. check thermostat, replace if necessary 4. Check all line connections 5. remove elements, check scale 6. reduce water 7. replace high power elements 8. make inlet water wamer 9. check pips, replace if necessary | Hot water heating slow | 1. precipitate or scale on elements
2. line connection not firmly 3. thermostat broken 4. electric power is too small | 1. remove elements, check scale
2. Check all line connections 3. check thermostat, replace if necessary 4. replace high power elements | Water too hot or continuous heating
| 1. thermostat not close to tank
2. elements short circuit 3. thermostat setpoint is too high 4. thermostat broken | 1. thermostat and tank In a straight line
2. check thermostat, replace if necessary 3. Adjust thermostat 4. check thermostat, replace if necessary | Heat elements noise | 1. scale on elements | 1. remove heating elements and clean |
If you can not find or correct the abnormal reasons on the table , we recommend that you do according to the following methods: 1. cut off water heater power. 2. close cold water inlet value. 3. contact to the dealer. |
