1、Installation location
a、Water heater must be installed on a leveled surface.
b、Water shall be installed near floor drain. Installation location should be choosed at place where water leakage at pipe connections will not cause damage to the lower floor. If the above conditions cannot be met, a water collector should be installed at water heater bottom. The water collector shall have walls and at least 5cm in depth and connected to an appropriate drain using a pipe.
c、Water shall be installed near hot water usage location and power source.
d、Water heater should not installed near any place of possible frozening. If possible, please install electiec water heater at a relative dry and vatilated environment. Besides, electic water heater should not be installed at place where will take direct sunlight.
2、Pipe connections
To make sure no water leakage will happen, if the building’s water supply line has backflow preventing appliance, back-pressure valve or water heater with back-pressure valve, then it would be necessary to install water supply expansion mechanism in the hot water system. When multiple water heaters are used in parallel, all water heater pipe branches shall have same dimension and length to ensure smooth and stable water flow.
3、At places where water is hard, it is advised to soften the water.
4、Electricity
Must earth electric devices to minimize the risk of getting electric shock. Water heater shall should have reliable earth line. Every commercial electic water heater should be equipped with air switch for overload protection and electricity leakage protection. Before the water heater is full, it shouldn’t be connected to electricity.
5、Water filling
After all pipes are well connected, turn on the tape or valve to fill the water heater. At the same time open the hot water output tape until some water flows out which indicating the water heater is full. Now, close the output tape and check all the connections to make sure no water leakage. If water leakage happens, evacuate the water tank, fix the leakage spot and re-fill the water heater. |
